

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday March 7th at J Warren Valley Chapel at 601 C Street, Eloy, AZ from
10:00-12:00 with burial following at the Eloy Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bobby truly lived a charmed and exciting life. He was born in Oklahoma and at the age of 12 he picked up his first pool stick. In 1952 at the age of 15 he moved to Arizona with his family. When he was 17 he worked at a pool hall in Eloy, AZ and taught himself to play and refined his pool skills.
He married Shirley in 1954 and they had two daughters.
This love of playing pool led him to years and years of traveling across the country and perfecting his pool playing skills. He enjoyed the thrill and challenge of the win. Bobby was one of the best pool players in the world.
He spent countless years in and around the Bakersfield area and worked in the potato sheds during the week but spent the weekends competing and challenging other players in the game of pool.
Later moving back to AZ in order to help care for his mother. He and his mother also spent a brief time living in Woodward Oklahoma where he played pool.
His dream was to be baptized in the river. His dream became a reality on November 15, 2023 when he and several family members were baptized in the Lower Salt River in Tonto National Forest.
He is survived by daughters Donna Layson of NV, Diana Robertson of Eloy AZ, stepchildren Beverly Cosillos (Bobby) and Mike Harrison of Casa Grande, AZ, sister Sonja Hernandez Simms of Casa Grande, AZ , grandson Dustin Severt (Tristain), 3 great grandsons Brayden, Dylan and Coltyn, 1 great granddaughter Jorden and 1 great great grandson Augustus.
He was preceded in death by his partner of 45 years Edith Harrison. Shirley Mains (mother of his daughters), his parents Sylvester Hernandez and Bertha Marshall. His siblings Daniel Hernandez, Rosa Lea Holland, Frank Hernandez, Sylvester Hernandez Jr., brother in law Jesse Simms, stepdaughters Peggy Longoria, Linda Duran and stepson James ‘Bubby’ Harrison.
