Audrey Jessee enjoyed growing up in Los Angeles in the 20s and 30s. She remembered LA with fields of green all around it, all the way to the beaches!
At a young age she was taught to sew and sewing became her art and her passion her whole life.
In her adolescent years my great grandfather Albert Ott moved his family to Fontana California where he purchased a ranch of orange groves and chicken houses. It was in Fontana that Audrey met my father James Jessee and married in 1946, right after World War II ended. They were married for 73 years and they will be interred together at Miramar national Cemetery in San Diego.
Jim Jessee and Audrey had two kids, David and Marsha. They have two grandchildren Scarlett Vanessa and Anna Rose, and two great grandchildren Daelen Grandy and Calista Grandy.
Audrey was known to be a gracious and kind person and was widely loved by her many friends and family.
She was elegant and everyone deeply enjoyed her company. She was a Christian woman with great enduring faith and she was very proud of her many years of teaching Sunday school in Fontana.
When Jim and Audrey retired to Prescott Arizona, Audrey joined a quilting guild and at this stage of her life she began to produce astounding quilt art that will live forever.
Besides being wrapped in the love of her handmade quilts she also left us with two other major blessings: a love of books, libraries, and reading and a love of nature and birdwatching.
As our memories pour over the many experiences and wonderful times we had together with Audrey our hearts are full to overflowing as we are deeply enriched by her life. We hold her Forever in our hearts
