Charlie, you were the best step father any daughter could ask for.  You had compassion,  patience,  knowledge  and unconditional love.  We would have so much fun on April Fools day.  Thank you for all your sacrifices. Will miss you.

Dad you have taught me so many things over the years like woodworking , use of many tools but most of all you taught me how to be a man. I will miss you so much you will always be in my heart. i know you will always be looking down on me. 

I have so many great memories with dad.  When I visited on Saturday before he passed, I said"I love you dad, I am the eldest" Everytime I would give him a card I signed it that way. He said for me to write that down. He was aware for a moment and I had written that phrase down and showed it to him. He smiled.  I will always remember the times when I was younger and visited every weekend.  I will miss you so much.

I had the honor of meeting and coaching Charlie through our Rock Steady Boxing Program at the Kleptz YMCA in Englewood, OH.  Charlie was definitely one of a kind.  Even though he spoke softly, what he had to say stayed with all of us.  He worked hard and made our classes fun.  I will miss you Charlie.  You will always have a special place in my heart.

Mr Oblinger, that's how I remember him.  Father of a family who will always hold a special place in my heart. He was a quiet, gentle man as I remember.  He usually made me laugh or smile.  Unfortunately the last time I saw him was at his daughter Lisa's funeral.  But he still remembered us Ivyhill girls.  I remember going to Dayton to stay with Linda and her dad's family.  Lot's of fun memories.  Rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of being on the same research team with Charlie for a time. His support and work ethic were invaluable to our project success. We always jokingly claimed that with uni-strut, Charlie could build anything  from as small as a bird cage to as large as a space shuttle.  His wisdom, wit and calmness when I worked with him, are contributions to my life for which I am belated in thanking him.

Charlie Oblinger helped me in countless ways. He taught me the value of strength and the strength of compassion. No job was ever too big or too small. No person was any more or less important than any another. He gave anything needed, any moment required and every time asked.  His humor is legendary. His love and commitment of his family and coworkers is even greater.  I am a better person because I had the chance to know him, work with him, and to love him. There are few people I know who gave as much and asked for as little.  This world is better because he was here. Those who knew him now have the responsibility to keep his spirit, his work ethic  and his values alive. That spirit included consideration, inspiration, accountability, dedication, commitment, determination, compassion, wit, humor, guile, and most importantly love. Charlie taught me these values. I will miss him. 

Just a note to let you know my thoughts and prayers are with all of you and  I love you with all my heart. I am so sorry for your loss and know you will miss your Dad.  i hope God will help you thru your grief. 

A trusted friend throughout most of my life, he will be missed. I learned many things from him, but mostly he gave me confidence. Quick with a witty comeback and occasional sharp tongue, he really cared about people and those close to him. My condolences to his family and especially to Annette for providing care and comfort during a difficult time.

I will miss you at the Rock Steady class at the Kleptz YMCA. I will forever see that twinkle in your eye when you were about to say something funny. You worked really hard for your coaches. It was a joy to know you. May you Rest In Peace.

As one of your Rock Steady Boxing coaches I just want to say how much we all will miss you as a member of our class. Your presence has been a joy. God bless and Rest In Peace!

Wayne and I have been blessed with the best neighbors anyone could have and that includes Charlie and Annette.  We will miss you Charlie but will always be there to do anything we can to help Annette.

Bill & I have so many fond fun loving memories with Charlie & Annette.  Charlie would always say something funny, but he’d be so serious looking.  We ALWAYS knew we’d have such a good time with both of them.  May Charlie RIP.
