Gene Brewster

BREWSTER, Gene S., 92 of Englewood passed away Sunday February 28, 2016 at the Dayton VA Hospital. Gene leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 48 years Marcella Jean (Duwel) Brewster his children Jeannie Snow, Richard Lee Brewster, Linda Kay & Warner Sykes, Sharon Sue & Carl Gregg, Jeanette Scott. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren Linda, Angie, Carl, Jeff, Lisa, Jenny, Kristy, Bobby, Andy and Matthew, several great and great-great-grandchildren; one brother Ralph Brewster. Gene was preceded in death by his parents Jesse Harrison and Settie Lou (Doss) Brewster, one brother Wendell Brewster and son-in-law Frank McFadden. He retired from GM after 35 years of service where he was an Inspector, was a US Army Air Corp Veteran serving in WW II, was a member of Disabled American Veterans and Auxiliary Chapter & Unit 9. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Gene’s life will be Friday, March 4, 2016 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Reverend Willie Metcalf presiding. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
