Janet Bucher

BUCHER, Janet M. 90 of Brookville passed away peacefully Saturday, May 24, 2014. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years Thomas J. Bucher in 2010, one son Barry Bucher in 2008 and one sister Joanne Dorian. Janet is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law Thomas Jeffrey Bucher of Westerville, OH; Tim Bucher and Yvonne Bucher-Krause of Whitehouse, OH. Also surviving are her grandchildren Kelly (Paul) Sakalas, Matthew Bucher, Kyle Bucher, Steve Bucher; great-grandson Owen Bucher and one brother Jim Jackson of FL, numerous nieces and nephews. Janet was a longtime and very active parishioner of Precious Blood Catholic Church, was a switchboard operator at Good Samaritan Hospital and was a secretary for the Sisters of the Precious Blood Convent for many years. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road, Wednesday May 28, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Thursday, May 29, at PRECIOUS BLOOD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4961 Salem Avenue, Dayton with Fr. Tim Knepper C.PP.S. celebrant. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery with Thomas. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Brookhaven Nursing Home & Staff and Tonya from Hospice of Dayton for their care and support.
