

Carson, Julia Marian “Poodie Grandma” 95 of Englewood, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 7, 2013. Julia is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law David L. and Mary Lynn Carson of Kettering, Russell A. and Sharon Carson of Moraine; three daughters and two sons-in-law Carol A. and Everett Rodgers of Kettering, Mary Jo and Clarence Sampson of Englewood, Judy R. Henderson of Clayton. Julia is also survived by her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons Thomas J., Richard V. and John R. “Jack” Carson, her parents Stanley and Elba (Parnell) McClure and one brother Stanley “Mac” McClure. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, was the previous owner of the Village Night Club on West Third Street and had worked at the Dayco Corp. form 1979 – 1989. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at PRECIOUS BLOOD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4961 Salem Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45416 on Friday, December 13, 2013 starting at 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am with Fr. Jim Seibert C.PP.S. celebrant. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Precious Blood Catholic Church in memory of Julia.
