

McCORMICK, Lois Jean, 87 of Englewood, formerly of Dayton, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012. Lois is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years James “Jim” Willard McCormick; one son and daughter-in-law Joel and Kathy McCormick of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; five grandchildren, James Wyatt McCormick, Faith and her husband Ben Haste, Michael McCormick, Jerry McCormick and his friend Crystal, Philip and his wife Andrea McCormick; seven great-grandchildren, Charity, Kyle, Hope, Chole, Aubree, Jayden and Aislen, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many longtime friends including Isabelle Graham and Beverely Buckingham. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Samuel and Rosa Ella (nee Krieder) Routson, four brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Peggy Routson, Clarence and Annie Routson, Floyd and Ann Routson, Howard and Lois Routson; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Fern and Charles Cole, Grace and Richard Shawver. Lois was a 1942 graduate of Stivers High School and graduated from Cedarville College in 1985 at the age of 60 with a degree in Bible Studies. She was a member of Englewood Friends Meeting, active in Gospel Clown Ministry, was a swimming instructor for the Red Cross for many years. Lois and Jim were lifelong residents of Dayton, upon retiring they moved to Spring City, TN and moved to Englewood in 2006. Her family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road, Wednesday evening, January 11, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, a celebration of her life will be Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rick Miller presiding, burial will follow in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens.
