

WHITE, Marilyn K., 77 of Dayton passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton surrounded by her loving family. Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Paul; her daughter and son-in-law Donna Lynn and Keith Golladay of Englewood, her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Rebecca White of Oakwood; seven grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law Blaine and Barbara Klotz of Englewood. She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Vera (nee Michael) Klotz, maternal grandparents Howard and Mary (nee Baker) Michael. Marilyn was a 1954 graduate of Fairview High School and received her BA from Ohio University. Marilyn loved people. She was a retired Social Worker having worked for Montgomery County Children Service’s Adoptive Center, Montgomery County Juvenile Court Probation Counselor, Maria Joseph Center Activities Director. After retiring she volunteered at the Maria Joseph Care Center. Marilyn also loved God. She was a longtime member of Fairview United Methodist Church and then moved to Concord United Methodist Church and was very active at both churches. There will be a gathering of Marilyn’s family and friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road, Monday evening May 20 from 4 to 7 pm. A Celebration of Marilyn’s life will be Tuesday, May 21, at 11 am at the CONCORD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 1123 South Main Street, Englewood with Pastor Tom Rand presiding. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
