Merle Stanley Huffman

HUFFMAN, Merle Stanley passed away peacefully Thursday, March 2, 2017 at his home in Estero, FL, with his beloved wife Charlene (nee Sisson) Huffman at his side. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Charlene, 3 sons; Michael Huffman (Ann), Robert Lyons and Jerry Lyons, 3 daughters; Nancy Thompson, Kelly Snader and Lori Brewer (Larry), 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. He also leaves 1 sister, Thelma Hymer and 2 brothers; Clyde Huffman (Donna) and Charles Huffman (Judy). He was preceded in death by a daughter Penny Huffman and his parents Lester and Myrtle Huffman. Merle retired from ABF Transport. He also served in the Army National Guard. He was very devoted to his church and also was passionate about helping the less fortunate, feeding the homeless and providing them with donated clothing. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road, Englewood, OH, Tuesday March 14, 2017 starting at 1:00 pm, followed by a celebration of Merle’s life at 3:00 pm.
