Elizabeth Evelyn Forge

Bette was called home November 23, 2013, in her sleep, by her Savior, to be with Him and her family waiting for her in heaven. She lived a good life dedicated to her Lord Jesus Christ.

Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, on October 6, 1921, she grew up learning to love music and to play the piano. She met her husband Norm Forge in Moose Jaw who was a young minister. Together they moved to the United States where Norm went to divinity school and she became a mother and minister's wife as they led their first Church of their ministry together. This was a first big step for both of them, leaving all their family in Canada, but they both felt led by the Lord.

It was the beginning of many moves as they became citizens and ministered to many people and led several Churches across the United States and Canada. They also spent 2 years on a mission trip in the Philippines. She later said that her mission in life was to be there for other people. She was a faithful companion to her husband and a devoted servant for the Lord.

During her 92 years, she had a passion for roses and had a lovely rose garden. She used a beautiful set of English, fine china with a rose design in her many days as a gracious hostess for her family, friends and Church members. She swam nearly everyday in her retirement up until she was 91. With her passion for music, she sang in the choir at Emmanuel Faith Church in Escondido for over 25 years.

She was married to James Norman Forge for 64 years until his passing in 2008. She is survived by four Children, Elaine, Sandra, Jim and David, three Grandchildren Christine, Garret and Lexy and two Great-Grandchildren, Adrian and Kyle. All will miss her dearly and she will be forever in our hearts. The family is looking forward to the day when we will see her again in heaven.
