Emelia Emily May Roberts

Emily peacefully passed on to her new life on May 31, 2012 at the age of 84. She was raised in Los Angeles, California as the youngest of six children: Marcus, Edward, Helen, Martha, and Bernard, by their parents Manuel and May.

In 1945, Emily graduated from Roosevelt High School in Los Angeles. She met her husband Bill shortly thereafter through his father with whom she rode the bus to work each day. Bill and Emily married in 1952, and after 2 ½ years of marriage bought their home in Whittier California, where they raised four children.

In 1998 they moved to Valley Center, California for their retirement years where they lived until March 2009 when they moved to their final home Silverado Senior Living, both with Alzheimer’s disease. They lived comfortably together at Silverado until Bill’s passing in early May 2009. It continued to be Emily’s home for an additional three years where she loved and was loved by everyone.

Emily was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill and their older son Ronald. She is survived by her children: Vivian, Norman, and Lorraine; grandchildren Joshua, Kristen, Rachel, Ronald, and Noah; and great-grandchildren: Jacob, Hayley, Mara and Landon.
