

He was born December 16, 1930 in Provo, Utah to Martin Earl Walker and Jennette Oreen Lockhart. He married Phyllis Darlene Peterson on August 15, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Jack retired from NCR Corporation where he worked as a computer engineer designing large scale computer systems. Before that, he was in the Navy, earned a bachelor’s degree in physical science and education from BYU, taught school, got a masters degree in personnel guidance, worked at Boeing Aircraft, and on the Atlas missiles and Westinghouse defense systems.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding many different callings and performing them well.
He loved horses and enjoyed giving riding lessons to his children, grandchildren and many youth including, boy scouts seeking merit badges in the field of horsemanship.
He performed endless acts of service for others, never seeking or wanting to be recognized for all he had done. He spent many hours working as a member of the San Dieguito River Park resource protection team and volunteering at the Daley Ranch Park.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis, his five children Cheryl Walker, Brett L. Walker (wife Nancy), Lori Walker Reed (husband Tim), Diane Walker and Brian Walker (wife Holly) as well as his twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
