Robert Eugene Christian

Robert was born on June 8, 1954, to Roslyn and Robert Christian in Oregon. He grew up in Moorpark, CA and attended Moorpark High School, played basketball and baseball, met his first wife Jan Withington, and where they had their daughter, Casey Calderhead. He later moved to Kern County, where he met his current wife, Shelly Christian. He passed away in the hospital, surrounded by loved ones, on February 14, 2023.

Robert worked for years as a woodworker, contractor and business owner. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, golfing and watching all sports. He was a great man with a huge heart and would do anything for his friends and family, especially his daughter and granddaughter.

Robert had a strong personality that drew people to him. He made friends wherever he went. He was an epic storyteller, and once he got started it was hard for him to stop. Conversations with Bob left everyone laughing long after he had walked away. Our favorite memories of him are full of his teasing, but loving, jabs and his protective nature. His absence is sorely felt every day by the many people who love him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Eugene Christian (Gene) and survived by his mother, Roslyn Christian, brothers, David and Michael Christian, daughter, Casey Calderhead, SIL Kevin Calderhead, granddaughter, Hailee Calderhead and wife, Shelly Christian.

Robert will be cremated and did not wish for any funeral services.
