Dareld Eugene Yaple

He was born in Arcata, California on January 6, 1947 to Helen Irene (Shinn) Yaple and Walter Yaple. He grew up in Humboldt County. He met his wife, Marilyn Prall at the Arcata Drive In and they were married on May 17, 1968 in Tijuana, Mexico. They were married for 44 years. Dareld was very family oriented.

They were long-time residents of Eureka, California. Dareld was a very hard working man employed with the Timber Industry for over thirty years. He loved this area and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Dareld is predeceased by Grandmother Hazel Berstrom; and sisters Yvonne Williams Gina Yaple and Frances Moon; and uncle Leland Berstrom.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Prall) Yaple; son Richard Yaple; daughter Helena Yaple; mother Helen Irene (Shinn) Yaple; father Walter Yaple; sisters Cindy Yaple, Paula Yaple and Kristine; brothers Wldon Yaple, Jimmy Yaple, Dale Yaple, Edward Yaple and Leland Shinn; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Sassy and Bud.

Dareld was a fine man who will be missed by his loving wife, large family and many friends.

He will be laid to rest at Ocean View Cemetery.
