
Lifelong Eureka resident Jim Quintrell died peacefully with family members around him on Friday, December 9, 2011.
At his request, no service will be held.
Jim was born July 25, 1932 to Edgar and Elizabeth Quintrell. He worked in the auto parts business for 45 years, from delivery boy to the owner of Six Rivers Jobber Service warehouse. He served in the United State Army during the 1950's, coming home from Japan as a General's aide.
Jim and his family spent more than 45 happy summers in Willow Creek, enjoying the warm weather and the harvest of their fruit trees.
He is survived by Joanne, his devoted wife of 55 years, as well as their children, John (Joanna) of Santa Rosa, and Lori (George) of Gustavus, Alaska and their 4 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Richard and Don Quintrell of Eureka.
Memorial donations may be made in Jim's memory to Hospice of Humboldt.
