Aileen F. Kissel, 90, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at West River Health Campus. She was born February 9, 1927, in Chicago, IL to the late Victor and Bertha (Wellman) Delfosse.
She graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. In 1949, she married Jerome “Jerry” Kissel, who passed away in January of 2002. Together they owned and operated A&F Fire and Safety Equipment and Helen’s Fine Foods.
Aileen is survived by her children, Chris (Judy) Kissel, Jan (Jack) Delauter, Angie Weightman and Carla Kissel; grandchildren, Jeff (Amy) Kissel, Jenny (Jason) Schiek, Heather (Jayson) Tootle, Jonathon (Selene) Weightman, Emma and Isaac Rosenzweig; great-grandchildren, Emily and Evan Kissel, Zoey Tootle, Harper Weightman and Jasper and Ruby Schiek; and several in-laws and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, October 2, 2017, officiated by Rev. Cliff Herring, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
