Alec James Johnson died on March 24, 2018, surrounded by his family. Alec was born April 12, 1995 with a congenital heart defect. It was the complications from his condition that finally took his life.
Alec is survived by his parents, Michelle M. Johnson of Newburgh, IN, and James D. Johnson (Denise) of Evansville, IN; his sister Sydney Johnson Yates (Eric) of Louisville, KY; his aunts, Debra Bartkowski, Vicki Harl (Ken) and Carol Johnson; as well as his cousins, Sloan (Christy) and Michael Harl.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Carolette Johnson, and Nicki Bartkowski; and his grandfather, Fred Bartkowski.
Michelle should be singled out for providing a home and emotional support for Alec through all of his medical issues. She never wavered in her devotion to him.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 28th, 2018, at Crossroads Christian Church, 10800 Outer Lincoln Avenue, Newburgh, IN, officiated by
Rev. Adrian M. Brooks. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time on Wednesday.
