Allyson Michelle Rager, 42, of Evansville, arrived at her heavenly home on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Deaconess Gateway. She was born October 27, 1975, in Du Quoin, IL to Vern Rager and Cathy (Moore) Martin.
She graduated from F.J. Reitz High School in 1994 and was a member of Christian Fellowship Church where she played the trumpet and was active with the orchestra. She was a member of the USI Pep Band the year they won the National Championship. She also performed “Taps” for military services. Allyson served as a recruiter with the Red Cross for over 13 years. In 2003, she graduated from Ivy Tech with an Associate’s degree in business. Most recently, she worked at Parkview Care Center, attending to the phones and working as a volunteer receptionist, and serving as the President of Resident Council.
Allyson is survived by her mother, Cathy Martin; father, Vern Rager (Marilyn); siblings, Jennifer Heil (Kevin), Jason Rager (Paula) and Kari Craven (Will); and nieces and nephews, Blaine, Tabitha, Trace, Jaciah, Dylan, Aiden, Luke and Maci.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Christian Fellowship Church, 4100 Millersburg Rd., Evansville, IN 47725, officiated by Pastor Cliff Herring. Friends may visit Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
