

Aloysius "Al" Nicholas Wigand III, age 72, of Evansville, IN, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Born in Evansville, IN on August 16, 1951, to the late Aloysius Wigand Jr. and Geraldine (Hart).
Al dedicated 18 years of his career to Bristol Meyers before retiring. He had a passion for working on cars, riding motorcycles, and enjoyed socializing with friends. Day trips out of state on his motorcycle with his wife were a source of joy for him. Al was known for his mechanical skills, intelligence, and savvy approach to his automotive interests. He was very generous with his knowledge and advice. Al was a devoted husband, father, and provider. Both he and his wife have been members of St. Boniface Catholic Church for over 20 years.
Al is survived by his loving wife, Arminta Kay Wigand; and their children, Nicholas Wigand (Laticia), Alison Wigand, and William Wigand. His legacy also lives on through his grandchildren, Elise Collins, Endymion Collins, Leo Wigand, Eleanor Wigand, and Peter Wigand; siblings, William “Bill” Wigand (Carol), Sheryl Salmon (Mike), Jerome Wigand (Wilma), Mark Wigand (Steph), and many other cherished family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Rodney Wigand and Tom Wigand.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the Chapel at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Jerry Wirth, followed by final resting place at Alexander Memorial Park.
