He is survived by his wife, Ruth; son, Alvin, Jr., wife Mary; daughters Terry McIntosh and Becky McIntosh-Miller; grandchildren, Lisa McIntosh, Michael McIntosh, Hannah Miller and Oliva Miller; sister, Linda (Gene) Draper; brothers, Frank (Shirley) and Bill (Jearlen) and nieces and nephews.
He loved the outdoors. He loved to work in the garden and on the trails by the creek. He worked for Floyd Staub for over 40 years. Alvin was a member of Westwood General Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Mark Browning and the nurses in the ICU at Deaconess Hospital.
Services will be 10:00AM Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. David Teruel with burial in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit, Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 2:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.
