Amelia was a radio host in her early career. She then devoted her life to her family as a loving homemaker. Amelia and her husband were avid horse racing fans and enjoyed going to the Kentucky Derby with family and friends. She was formerly in a bowling league, enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, and attending her grandkids sporting events.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Jack Middleton.
Amelia is survived by her husband of 49 years, Roland Combs; daughter, Jennifer Elmore (Jeff); sons, Brad Dillingham (Laurie Huff), Ronnie Combs (Annette); grandchildren, Michelle Elmore, Makayla and Jackson Dillingham, Branson, Brock, and Brady Combs; brother, Dave Middleton (Denise); sisters, Mary Sue Vicars (Alton), Martha Lynn Soward (John); and sister in law, Barbara Middleton.
Visitation will be held 3:00 to 5:00 PM Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue.
