

She was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, was an active volunteer at the church and taught Sunday school. She had been the Secretary and Treasurer of Tri-State Association of Grocers and was the owner/operator of Harold’s Thriftee Market.
Amelia was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Klausmeier, in August 1994; brother, Edgar Parker; sister, Sarah Marie Klausmeier; and great-grandchild, Jessie Faith Ehmen.
She is survived by her son, Lee (Donna) Klausmeier; daughters, Judith (Ted) Cameron, all of Evansville, and Anita Bailey of Sterling Heights, MI; grandchildren, Kevin Klausmeier, Kristin Ehmen, Diane Lau and Joe Bailey; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 1811 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Rev. Tom Wenig, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, and Thursday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
The family would like to thank the nurses and assistants on the Pavilion side and the East Wing of the Good Samaritan Home.
