Andrew "Andy" Anthony Bogan, a cherished son, brother, friend, and patriot, departed this world on April 27, 2024, in Evansville, Indiana, at the age of 39, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 21, 1985, in Evansville, Indiana, to Anthony "Tony" Ray Bogan and Theresa Ann (Dixon) Bogan, Andy's journey touched the lives of many.
A proud graduate of Reitz High School in 2003, Andy served his country with honor in the Air Force from 2005 to 2009. His dedication and service exemplified his commitment to duty and love for his country. Following his military service, Andy embraced various roles, including Assistant Manager at Royal Car Wash. However, his true passion lay in the outdoors, where he found solace in activities such as shooting guns, fishing, camping, and indulging in his love for gaming. Andy's infectious laugh and radiant smile could illuminate any room, and his remarkable sense of humor endeared him to all who knew him. Generous to a fault, Andy's kindness and appreciation touched the hearts of everyone he encountered.
Andy leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted parents, Tony and Theresa; loving brother, Eric Bogan; caring aunts and uncles, Janice Dixon Coleman, John (Julie) Dixon, John Bogan (Monica), Elizabeth (Lester) Hagen; beloved cousins, Joshua (Morgan) Coleman, Jessie (Adam) Conaty, Janna Coleman, Charlie Dixon, Casey Dixon, Maddie (Lexi) Banks, Alex Bogan, Brylee (AJ) Ware, Kylee Hagen; and other cherished family members and friends, including Reid, Grant, and Ben Conaty; Henry Finn and Nora Coleman; and lifelong best friends, Chad Reising, Drew Helfert, Shawn Edwards, Cody Mango, and Chris Gasser.
He is reunited in eternity with his grandparents, Sue and Sam Bogan, and Barb and Charles Dixon, along with his cousin, Chase Hagen and his beloved dog, Soupy, who preceded him in death.
A gathering to honor Andy's life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN, followed by a Celebration of Life service at noon, officiated by Pastor J.D. Rose.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated medical teams who cared for Andy, especially the oncology nurses in infusion and on the 6th floor at Gateway, along with his oncologist, Doctor Kodali. He sends you all a "crisp high five!" Andy's spirit lives on in the memories of those who knew and loved him.
