

Anna Lee Herschelman, 92, of Evansville passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, February 9, 2026. She was born March 19, 1933 in Muhlenberg County, KY to Orville and Hazel (Revo) Ferguson.
Anna Lee was a coal miner’s daughter who spent her early childhood years in Muhlenberg County. She was very active at Memorial Baptist Church on Marx Road where she taught Sunday School. Anna Lee first taught the Beginner’s Class and later taught the Adult Class. She was a member of the Bible Study Fellowship Group. Anna had an extensive knowledge of the Bible from her many years of study. She was a talented painter who was honored to have several paintings displayed at the Evansville and Audubon Museums. Anna was also proud to be literacy tutor for several years. She greatly enjoyed traveling throughout the world with her family and friends. But, an even greater passion was being on her zero turn Scag lawn mower in her beautifully manicured lawn overlooking her farm well into her nineties.
Anna was a wonderful and devoted mother and grandmother. She dearly enjoyed being active in the lives of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Wilbur R. Herschelman; parents, Orville and Hazel Ferguson; brother, Jewell Ray “Buddy” Ferguson; daughter-in-law, Debbie Herschelman; and grandson, Daniel Herschelman.
Anna is survived by her children, David Herschelman (Kelleye), Scott Herschelman (Trudy), Eric Herschelman, and Elaine Cady (Louis); grandchildren, Lauren Ryan (Greg), Kristen Roberts (Aaron), Orlando Maldonado (fiancée, Amy), Sarah Herschelman, Emily Herschelman, and Kaleb Herschelman (Kaysea); and great-grandchildren, Madison Gray, Mycaiah Herschelman Ryan, Kaden Herschelman, and Kody Herschelman.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St. Evansville, IN, officiated by Pastor Dennis Gibson. Burial will follow in Memorial Baptist Cemetery.
Friends and family may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2026 and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
