Anna and her husband, had built several homes in Evansville.
She loved to sew, having made many clothes. She also enjoyed walking, fishing and especially her family.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Henry Maier in May, 1970; sister, Mary Lou Stalion; and brother, Robert G. Hughes, Jr.
She is survived by her brother, Charles E. Hughes of Pioneer, CA; sisters, Ruth E. Hughes of Huntsville, AL, Geraldine Beavers of Marion, KY, and Shirley Small of Marion, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 AM. Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jeff Pinney, with burial at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Saturday from 10AM until service time at the funeral home.
