Audrey R. Schmidt

Audrey graduated from Bosse High School in 1948, and worked in the office at Atlas Van Lines for 20 years. She was a member of Bethlehem UCC where she was the nursery teacher for over 40 years. She was an active auxiliary member at The Good Samaritan Home, where she worked every Friday for many years. She and her husband belonged to the Eagles 427 where they loved to go dancing.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Donald “Buzz” Schmidt.

Audrey is survived by her daughters, Joni Heugel (J.D.) of Noblesville, IN and Jan Schmidt of Evansville; son, Eric B. Schmidt of Evansville; granddaughter, Erin Reichel Schultz (Mervin) of Riverview, FL and great granddaughter, Tenley Schultz.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 18, 2017, at Bethlehem UCC, 6400 Oak Hill Road, officiated by Rev. Emily Slade, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem UCC or Vanderburgh Humane Society.
