August Wayne McCaslin

August Wayne McCaslin, 74, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born June 28, 1943 in Evansville to the late Ivy and Selma (Market) McCaslin. He attended St. Anthony grade school and Rex Mundi high school. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Wayne worked for B & D Towing for 30 years and was a supervisor at Zenith for over 10 years. He enjoyed dirt track racing, playing cards and working in his garage. He loved his grand kids. August was preceded in death by his parents; 7 sisters, and 1 brother. He is survived by daughters, Amy McCaslin and Rebecca Butrum (David); grandchildren, Grace, William, Elise and Rylynn; former wife, Janet McCaslin; sisters, Bitsie Peach (Randy), Sherry Paul (Duke) and Dinah Levi; brother, Jerrell McCaslin (Marina), and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be 12:30PM, Monday, June 4, 2018 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit 1:00-5:00PM, Sunday, June 3, 2018 and Monday, 11:30AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Vanderburgh Humane Society.
