Betty J Woods

She was a very good cook and worked several places as a cook before retiring from Hagedorn’s. Betty was a lifetime member of Riverbend. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and crossword puzzles, and was a very loving mother.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E Woods, in 1997; daughter , Gloria Jean Acker, in 2008; brothers, Vernon, Harold, Sylvester, Raymond, Marvin; sister, Catherine Ziliak; and parents.

She is survived by sons, Harry W. (Diane) Woods, Keith B. (Cindy) Woods; grandchildren, Dawnelle Powers, April Reed, Rachel Acker, Elaine Woods, Falon Woods, Heather Hust; eight great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; sister Shirley Easton; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Danny Walker, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
