

Billie Ann Watson, 85, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Born on May 18, 1939, in Evansville, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Olivia Wimberly.
Billie was a vibrant and devoted individual with a wide range of passions. She was deeply involved in local politics and cherished her time dancing at country line dance events. A proud member of OWLS, FOP, and The Eagles, she made significant contributions in her role as a bookkeeper at the Pigeon Township Trustee's Office and excelled as a top sales lady at Avon. Billie was also known for her love of cooking, particularly Sunday dinners, and her talent for bringing people together with her infectious smile and warm presence. She was the heart of her family, teaching them the joy of cooking and the essence of unconditional love.
Billie is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Lindsey; son, Alfred Lindsey; grandchildren, Dustin (Kennett) Lindsey, Misty (Jerrod) Hart; great-grandchildren, Mikaila (Payton) Simmons, Hunter (Olivia) Lindsey, Jaiyden Hart, and Amelia Hart; great-great-grandchild, Isabel Simmons; sister, Georgia Tillman; as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry "Red" Watson, and her sons, Patrick "ZZ" Watson and Robert "Bob" Charles Watson; and sister, Charlene "Cookie" Gooch.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Heritage Hospice for their exceptional care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Billie’s honor to Riley Children's Foundation at Riley Children's Foundation.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN, and again on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until the service begins.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Alexander West Chapel, with Ken Mitz officiating. Billie will be laid to rest at Alexander Memorial Park, close to her cherished family.
