Bobbie J. (Venson) Bittner, 84, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, at Deaconess Midtown. She was born on November 8, 1937, in McLean County, Kentucky, to the late Henry R. and Annie M. (Divine) Venson.
Bobbie retired in 2000 from Faultless Castor, after 28 years. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary, Post #1114 and a member of the River Bend Association, and the Owls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Kenneth Bittner; son, Gary Bittner; sisters, Louise Ashby, Mary Greathouse and Annie B. Martin; brothers, Raymond, Arthur, Norman, and David and Arthur Venson.
Bobbie is survived by daughters, Sheila A. McKendree (DeWayne), Debra Bittner and Kendra Schrader (J. Scott); eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Alexander West Chapel. Friends may visit from 3:00 pm until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
