

Bonnie Jean (Pritchett) York, 67, of Evansville, was called home Thursday, June 9, 2016. She passed surrounded by family. She was born August 4, 1948, in Evansville, IN, to the late Bryant and Mary (West) Pritchett.
She worked over 40 years as a pharmacy technician. She began her career at Cannon Drug Store on Franklin St. She also worked at Great Scot Pharmacy, Francis Pharmacy, Physician’s Center Pharmacy, Buy Low Pharmacy and ended her career at CVS. She was a member of both St. Paul’s UCC and Crossroads Christian Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, working outside, plays, and traveling. She had visited all seven continents. Bonnie never met a stranger and formed many lasting friendships with both her co-workers and customers. She will always be remembered for her sweet smile and kind heart.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary (West); father, Bryant; and infant brother, Bryant Jeffery.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Gary Tanner) Daub; son, Scott (Leigh Ann) York; grandchildren, Mallory (Zach) Newhouse, Brock (Jessica Yaser) Minton, Lily, Nathan, Meredith and Holden York; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Oliver Newhouse; godchild, Ashley Kasinger; best friend of 60 years, Suzanne Kasinger; special friend, Bill Word; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank Dr. Eric Jackson, Dr. Sheryl Ziegler, the staff of OHA, and Deaconess VNA for their extraordinary care.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, June 13, 2016, at Alexander West Chapel. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
