Carl C. Demuth

Carl C. DeMuth, 80, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 12:50 p.m. on March 10, 2018 at River Pointe Health Campus. Carl was born January 14, 1938, in Evansville to Catherine & Eugene DeMuth. He graduated from Reitz High School in 1956 and worked for SIGECO for 18 years, then spent 16 years at Big Rivers Electric Corp. before retiring in 1994. Carl also spent six years in the U.S. Navy, was a member of the Evansville Lapidary Society, and was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Carl is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Ehrhart (Paul) and son, Eric DeMuth (Debra), both of Evansville; granddaughter, Shalynn Ehrhart of Carmel, IN; sister, Sharon Jennings (John); brother, Frank DeMuth (Barbara); special friend of seven years and caregiver for the past three years, Judy Browning Trainer of Evansville; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice DeMuth, in 2011. They were married for 53 years. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Howell General Baptist Church, 1520 Delmar Avenue, Evansville, officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St., Evansville, IN 47712, and Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
