Our loving and caring mother, Carlene Russell, 87, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014, at Deaconess Hospice Care Center. She was born January 9, 1927, in Clay, KY to the late William and Grace (Turley) Braden.
She was a member of Forest Hills Wesleyan Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Carlene was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William Goble Russell; and son, Carl Earl Russell.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Thomas) Grimm; Jeannette Alldredge and her friend, Sharon Collins, Linda DeWeese, Debbie Merrill and Susan (Gary) Mayes; son, Daniel (Ruth) Russell; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers; and three sisters.
Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, February 17, 2014, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mike Stoelting, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
