Cathy was born September 6, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Roy Miller and Margaret Collignon. She worked for St. Mary’s Hospital and Shane Uniform Company before retiring from TJ Maxx. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Cathy loved her family, she was their prayer warrior; she had a direct line to Jesus. Cathy loved knitting & crocheting, playing cards & bingo, watching college basketball- especially the KY Wildcats, spending time with her family, reading (oh how she loved to read- especially books about the Amish) and she loved to cook/bake (she made the best banana cake with peanut butter icing)!
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Knight, her sister, Marilyn Burdick, her daughters, Carla Franklin and Debra DeMuth and her second husband, Bill Benefiel.
She is survived by her son, Michael Knight (Sheryle) and her son-in-law, Eric DeMuth; her grandchildren, Me’Chele Fuller (Brad), Debra Droege (Adam) and Mindy Dill (Juan); her great-grandchildren, Katelyn Pirtle, Jordan Fuller, Justin Dill, Jacob Fuller and Caiden Droege; her brother Ben Vanell (Diana) and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Her nieces Becky Burdick and Theressa Adams were like daughters to her, they held a special place in her heart.
