Charles “Terry” Bernard, 84, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015, at 8:50 PM, at Columbia Healthcare. He was born July 25 1931, in Evansville, to Charles P. and Emma (Witherspoon) Bernard.
He was a life member of VFW Post 1114. He loved to fish, work crossword puzzles and swap stories while drinking cold one with his friends. Terry never met a stranger and brought a smile to everyone’s face.
Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Louise; and son, Steven.
He is survived by his son, Terry Bernard; daughters, Cindy Lemp and Cherl Luigs; grandchildren Stephanie and Daniel Luigs and Jacob Lemp; and great-grandson, Jameson Lemp.
Per his request, no service will be held. Anyone who wishes to stop in and say goodbye may gather Monday, December 21, 2015, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Rick’s 718 Bar & Lounge.
