Charles Lewis Hollingsworth

Charles was retired from Qualex and worked part-time at ABC Hobby Shop and AA Hobby Shop to support his hobby of remote control airplanes, boats and cars. He was previously a member of the Evansville RC Model Aircraft Club and the River City Racing Club. Charles was in the US Air force and served during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Myrtle, wife of 43 years, Barbara; daughter, Rosemary; sisters, Kate Bennett and Margret Hollingsworth (Sisters of St. Frances in Oldenburg, IN)

Charles is survived by his five children, Chuck (Sharon) Hollingsworth of Evansville, Beth Hollingsworth of Mount Juliet, TN, Mary Jane Hollingsworth of Mount Juliet, TN, Jon (Becky) Hollingsworth of Evansville, and Paul (Amanda) Hollingsworth of Evansville; seven grandchildren, Brittney, Alyssa, Alun, Kayla, Maraya, Barbara Jean, and Juanita; sister, Dorothy Blades of Dixon, KY; brother, Paul Hollingsworth of Evansville.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W Illinois St, Evansville, IN 47712. Officiated by Father Gene Schroeder, with burial to follow at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 at the funeral home.
