Charles graduated from Reitz High School in 1953 and Evansville College in 1958.
He was a Mechanical Engineer for Southern Indiana Gas and Electric Company for 38 years. He served as the Treasurer for the New Salem Cemetery.
Charles was a lifelong member of Salem UMC. He served the church participating in: Board of Trustees, Church Council, Choir, United Methodist Men, he started Wednesday Work Team. He was a true pillar of the congregation.
When taking on a project he put his heart in it. Charles loved to travel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Rosa Laubscher; and brother, Herbert S. Laubscher, Jr.
Charles is survived by his brother, Robert Laubscher (Constance); and cousin, Charles Eichele.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Salem United Methodist Church, 6311 Kratzville, Rd, Evansville, officiated by Rev. Randy Anderson with burial at New Salem Cemetery, Campground Road. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd, Evansville, and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
