Charles E Schmidt

Charles graduated from Reitz High School in 1954 and was a member of St. Peter’s (Highland) United Church of Christ. Charles worked in the restaurant business for many years and was an owner and operator of a Subway Sandwich Shop for 15 years when he retired.

Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren’s music concerts and sporting events. He sang in several church choirs throughout his life and also enjoyed traveling and camping across the country.

He was preceded in death by his father, William F. Schmidt and brother, Norman J. Schmidt.

Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beverly J; daughters, Deborah (Don) Smith and Karen (Keith) Watson; grandchildren, Stephanie (Tim) Winters, Rachel (Chris) Pickett, and Curt Watson; great grandchildren, Dillon Pickett and Colin Watson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Alexander North Chapel with Rev. Brian Buschkill officiating, and burial following in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Thursday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
