Chuk Chui Wong (Cheung), 73, of Evansville, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born October 18, 1941, in Canton Providence, China, to the late Cheung Man Sing and Kung Chew Don.
She immigrated to the United States in 1973 with her husband and four children. From April 1981 until April 2004, she owned and operated the Chinese restaurant, House of Hong Kong, in Evansville with her husband. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and working word search puzzles.
Chuk was preceded in death by her parents; son, Henry Wong; and sister-in-law, Lai Wah Chong.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Kwok Chau Wong; children, May (Ken) Francis, Kim Wong, and Howard Wong; daughter-in-law, Sarah Wong; grandchildren, Ashley and Alex Wong, Brandon and David Francis, Jenny and Leesa Jing, and Nolan Wong; brother, John Chong; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 9:00 AM Friday, March 27, 2015, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
