Clara G. Hartig

Clara G. Hartig, 77, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Deaconess Midtown. She was born on April 15, 1945 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Ervin H. and Luella R. (Jung) Dierlam.

Clara was an EVSC bus driver for 32 years, and owned and operated Clara’s Ceramic Shop. She loved spending time outdoors: camping, horseback riding, gardening and working on the farm. Clara especially loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Carl and Ralph Dierlam.

Clara is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gilbert H. Hartig; daughter, Debbie J. Bippus (Chris) and Connie Hartig Evans (Jeremy); grandchildren, Tucker Evans, Tyler Bippus, Wyatt Evans, Cody Bippus and Carson Evans; brother, Gene Dierlam and two nieces and one nephew.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Kirk Horstmeyer, with burial in Hauschild Cemetery. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
