Curtis John Pollmann, 69, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025. He was born on August 5, 1955, in Highland, IL, to the late LaVerne “Slim” Anthony Pollmann and Eileen Adele (Gramm) Pollmann.
Curtis proudly served his country in the United States Army and previously dedicated his time as a volunteer firefighter in Illinois. He worked in production and as a forklift operator at Ameriqual and Window World. A hardworking man with a generous spirit, Curtis was always willing to lend a hand and never met a stranger.
He cherished time spent with his beloved dog, Sissy, and found true joy in making memories with his children and grandchildren. Known for his quick wit and sharp sense of humor, Curtis had a way of lighting up a room. He showed affection through playful teasing, if he picked on you, it meant he liked you. His laughter and kindness will be deeply missed.
Curtis is survived by his loving daughters, Jennifer Knight (Gary) and Julia Ripple (Joseph "Joe"); his grandchildren, Alexis Pollmann (Andrew Bartholomew), Joshua "Josh" Knight (Bailey Schmitt), DeAnna Knight, Isaiah Farmer, Elijah Farmer, and Maize Ripple; and a great-granddaughter on the way, Lilith Ann Bartholomew. He is also survived by his brothers, Dennis Pollmann (Barb) and Kevin Pollmann (Rachel); many cherished nieces and nephews; and the family’s loyal pets: Comet, Astro, Spaz, Shiloh, Mango, and Rosie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Tami Auffert.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Curtis's memory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in his honor.
