Darrell was a great, loving, giving man who was a hard worker, and cared greatly for others. Most of all, he was a family man; loving his wife, children, and God. He was a master engineer, metal designer, and fabricator employed by Bernardin, Fiberfill, and Three-I Engineering, where he retired.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Wanda (Miller) Bivens; son, Todd Bivens (Becky); daughter, Kristi Bivens; grandson, Seth Bivens; sister, Shirley Hohl (Louie); brother, Fraymen Bivens; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, J.W. Bivens and Max Densford; and sister, Betty Hargrove.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Christ Gospel Church, located at 2301 E. Riverside Dr. Evansville, IN, officiated by Rev. Sharon Spicer, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Gospel Church, where he was a member.
