David B. Knight, 63, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018, at his home. He was born on December 11, 1954, in Evansville, IN, to Agnes Mae (Ashby) and Bill T. Knight, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Karen.
David was a retired pipefitter and worked through Local #136. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. In his retirement, his hobbies included playing golf, pool and cards. He was a jack of all trades and his true passion was helping others. His last act of service is donating his body to students at IU Medical Center.
David is survived by his wife of 34 years, Martha Knight; daughters, Sally Johnson (Duron), Kristi Givens (Justin) and Sara Hayden (Kyle); grandchildren, Kayla, Jalen, Kaylee, Harper, Tyler, Hazel, Alex and Anna; brothers and sisters, Bill Knight, Jr. (Vicki), Jenny Blythe, Mark Knight (Debi) and Marcia Ellerbrook (Paul); and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, November 19, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Ross Langston. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
