Deborah "Debbie" Lee Arvin went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 23, 1953 in Evansville, Indiana, to the late William C. Sr. and Ruby R. (Miller) Arvin.
Debbie loved her family, especially her two boys, Joseph "Jofas", his wife Kathy, and Chris "Bubby", and his wife Jessica, her grandchildren Jesse Jones, Kenny Jones, Sydney Jones, Emalee Jones, Sarah Rose, Alissa Miles, and Eliana Noble.
She had a tremendous amount of love for her great-grandchildren, Londyn, Maddi, Maveryck, Clementine, Sawyer; and her soon to be great-grandbaby Alison who will be born in October...she fought so hard to be here to see Alison come into this world. She would always get caught sharing her snacks with them, even when she knew they probably hadn't eaten lunch or dinner yet.
Debbie had the biggest heart when it came to animals. She couldn't stand to watch those commercials for the ASPCA because they made her cry and even though she didn't have much money she would find a way to send something to them and a few other charities. She also had a great love for her grand-dog Kali, who she shared her snacks with even though she was told not to, and her great granddog Mitra who would come in her room to visit from time to time. Her Annabelle Lee was her favorite though. That dog could do no wrong. Debbie would trip over and yell at her, tell her she was a poor little stupid dog, then turn around and share half the bread off her egg sandwich or the crust off of her pizza. It didn't matter that she was 126 years old in dog years, blind, deaf, and has doggy dementia, Annabelle was her baby. Debbie could be in the hospital and only worry about whether someone was feeding her dog.
But Debbie's greatest love was the love and faith she had in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She has a little charm with a mustard seed in it as a reminder that if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, nothing is impossible.
Debbie is also survived by her brother Bill Arvin Sr., sister Sandy Curtis, her aunt Gerry Birkla, and several nieces and nephews.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roger Arvin; sisters, Janet Arvin and Brenda Franks; two grandchildren, Jonathon Andrew and Casey Arin Jones; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Jones; and several pets that she remembered fondly and talked about often.
Private services were held at Debbie's request.
