He graduated from FJ Reitz High School and worked many years at Happe Construction.
Hoot was a fun person and would always leave you with a laugh or a smile. You could catch him out fishing any chance he could get. He sure loved to fish. The outdoors suited Hoot just fine and he would enjoy a beer with his family and friends and just loved to talk and be with everyone.
He was preceded in death by his loving partner, Jennifer Burns; father, Jackson W. Davis; mother, Flora Ann Norman-Davis; brothers, Henry William Davis and Danny Ray Davis.
Dennis is survived by his two sons, Blaine and William "Hank" Davis; siblings, Linda Bateman (Gary), Hilda Whistler (Mark), Diana Cayton (Jack), Marilyn Henderson (Michael), Donald Davis, and David Davis (Esther).
Hoot loved his numerous nieces and nephews and we all will surely miss him.
