He had worked at Swifty Oil Company for many years and formerly D.P. Amusements. He was a Demolay and member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Newburgh. He enjoyed hunting.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, James and Joyce Evans; and brother, Lonnie Jay Evans.
He is survived by his wife of eight years, Kristia Evans; daughters, Nancy (Eric), Ashley, Jessica and Brittany; son, Tyler; brothers, James (Gina), Ralph and Billy; sisters, Melinda (Chris) and Emily; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Robert Nall with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
