Donald H. Mills

Donald Huston Mills, 84, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016, at West River Health Campus. He was born December 17, 1931 in Columbus, OH, to the late Alva and Marie (Hall) Mills. He married his wife of 61 years, Jacquelyn, in 1953. Donald served in the US Navy and retired from the Indianapolis Police Department after 20 years of service. He also served as a Missionary in Haiti for 17 years. He and his wife were members of Boeke Road Baptist Church. Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline, in 2015; and brother, Robert Mills. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon (Victor) Grisham of Wadesville, IN; son, David M. (Sylvia) Mills of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Lori (Eric) Nenneker, Jeff (Sarah) Grisham, Kenneth (Cady) Mills, and Eric (Tiffany) Mills; and great-grandchildren, Natalie, David and Grace Nenneker, and Noah, Kaitlyn, Eli and Jayden Mills. Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Delbert Bryant.
