I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I just heard the news today. I am sad beyond belief. I had the honor and privilege of meeting Donna through a patient of mine when I worked as a nurse at Oncology Hematology Associates in Newburgh. Later, after I was diagnosed with cancer myself, I was between jobs and applied for a job at Evansville Surgical Associates. Donna hired me knowing I was in treatment and went out of her way to make sure I was able to work during my illness and treatment. She became a very dear friend as well as co worker. I will forever cherish our friendship and will miss her sweet sweet spirit. She spoke of her children often. You were her world. She loved you both more than you could ever know. And to you Daniel, she cherished the time she spent with you. You came into her life when she needed you most. With our last conversation, she told me how at peace with her life. I will forever cherish our last talk. RIP my precious friend. Heaven truly did gain an angel on Monday.

Dear Daniel and Donna's family, I worked with Donna for 7 years, I saw Donna in October on my visit home. I did not know the extent of her illness until she and I talked. I am so happy for Donna she had the support of Daniel and family, I don't know you Daniel but I do know Donna had nothing but good to say. I am so thankful she had you! Donna was such a nice person, it breaks my heart for her to have had to endure such pain. Rest in peace, Donna. With deep sympathy, Pam Winnecke

So sorry to hear about Donna. I remember her as a young person at Elberfeld Church. We sat together often and were in Sunday School together. She was gorgeous and smiled a lot. I know her family and friends will miss her. Sympathy to her loved ones. May God give you the peace that surpasses all understanding.

So sad to hear about the passing of a BEAUTIFUL AND CARING lady! Donna was one of the most caring and giving people I knew. Her family, friends and loved ones are in my prayers and thoughts. I am happy I had the honor to work with and know such a beautiful individual inside and out.

I am so sorry for the loss of your sister and daughter. Please know that my family and I are praying for you all during this difficult time.

With the passing of my good friend Donna, and as painful as my own grief is, I can't even imagine how much the love of her life, Daniel Hensley, her mother, sisters, son and daughter are grieving.  There are no quick fixes for the anguish we experience after death.  We are all completely unprepared for the avalanche of emotions we are feeling.  
Donna was a beautiful person both inside and out.  Her love for life, family, friends and patients was unsurpassed with her compassion, dedication and empathy.  I have been blessed over the years with her unwavering friendship and love.  
Although the end of life is inevitable for us all, it doesn't ease the pain when we lose a loved one.  
May Donna rest in peace and be in pain no more.  She touched so many of us on this earth.  We will always dearly love you and miss you my friend.  
Only time has the ability to make this acute, searing pain of loss less intense and to make red-hot emotions less painful; but, the feelings of loss and emptiness might never completely subside after losing such a special person as Donna.
