Doris L Waters

She was born on July 26, 1932 in Warrick County, Indiana, to Otis and Elsie Norrick. Doris was a member of Harwood Baptist Church for many years. She retired from Parkway Convalescent Center of Evansville after 27 years.

Doris’s favorite pastime was working in her yard and tending to her flowers. Her greatest joy was her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very warm and caring person and is greatly missed by all who knew her. Most assuredly, she is at peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of many years, Clarence Roy Waters

Doris is survived by three sons, Larry, Roger, and Mike Waters; two daughters-in-law, Bonnie and Tamra Waters; grandchildren, Cassandra Bruise (huband, Nick), Caitlin Sallee, Zachery Waters, Jason Waters, Josh Waters, Carrie Kraemer; great-grandchildren, Emma Sallee, Aaron Sallee, Madeline Lazich, Emilia Bruise, Everett Bruise, Erica Swope, Isabelle, Jayce and Jackson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Alexander Funeral Home West, 2100 W. Illinois Street in Evansville.

Friends and family may visit from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 15, 2026 and on Friday, from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
