Dorothy Happe Hicks

Dorothy and Walter were married at St. Boniface Catholic Church and loved dancing. She loved outdoor life; gardening, four wheeling, boating, camping, fishing, bonfires with family and friends. She liked to sew, embroidery, quilt and cook (best chicken and dumplings ever and corn bread). She was best at raising hell with all her rowdy family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Walter E. Happe; husband of 21 years, Leon Hicks; son-in-law, Larry Kissinger; and grandson, Kelly Kissinger.

Dorothy is survived by daughter, Doris Kissinger of Evansville; son, Edward Happe (Paulette) of Evansville; daughter, Debbie West (Alan) of Evansville; and son, Randy Happe of Evansville; grandchildren, Danny and Monte Kissinger, Eddie and Troy Happe, Brian West, Amber Morrow and Nichol and Kelly Happe; great grandchildren, Levi, Kelsey, Alison and Kurt Kissinger, Clinton and Clay Happe, Colton and Chole West, McKenzie and Justice, Dalton, Jaxon, Raelyn and Kennedy; great great grandchild Owen Young; and sister, Lily Mae Winchester of Hopkinsville, KY.

Prayer service was held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Fr. Jay Davidson, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends visited on Tuesday from 12:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:30 AM until service time at funeral home.
